Job Description:

Leidos has a job opening for a IT Strategy and Planning Intern in Reston, VA.

Leidos is seeking an intern to support our CIO Services team (Corporate IT department). The position is based out of Reston, VA, with a desired start date in January 2019. Because of this the applicant must be available to begin the internship and be local to the Reston, VA location.

Leidos will provide the candidate with real world experience and technical and career mentorship throughout the internship, which may result in full-time employment opportunities upon graduation. Working under the general supervision of senior staff, typical intern work assignments might include: developing algorithms and process models, technical and financial analysis, project management, developing roadmaps, writing reports, preparing presentations, and presenting results to management.

Primary responsibilities include assisting in development of IT Strategy artifacts, defining processes, evaluating business cases, prioritizing projects, and solving business problems. The IT Strategy Intern will work with senior technical experts and architects within the CIO Services organization to develop services and technology roadmaps that align with the overall IT strategy.

-Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and completed at least two years of an undergraduate curriculum with an average 3.0 GPA.
-The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement
-Prior experience or classroom training related to software engineering, cybersecurity, technology, business management, project management or IT support is preferred
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
-US Citizenship is required.

-Familiarity with IT service delivery frameworks, e.g., ITIL, enterprise architecture frameworks, e.g., TOGAF.
