Job Description:

Leidos has an immediate career opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer/Oracle Developer at San Antonio, Texas.

Candidate will be a part of the development team associated with the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS).
The DCPDS system houses HR data associated with Defense Civilian Personnel.
A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have an inquisitive attitude, and successfully solve problems.
Candidate must have the ability to interact and work collaboratively with a diverse set of users (developers, testers, administrators, team leads, management, system users).

Primary Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide technical knowledge/expertise to support the design and implementation of system components/subsystems;
Develop as-built and to-be designs, functional specifications, or other documentation associated with system development;
Research, design, develop, and modify the DCPDS enterprise-wide software to implement changes/enhancements to the system;
Resolve requests for assistance in troubleshooting issues assigned to the development team;
Support functional/regression testing activities in support of system functionality releases, patches and upgrades;
Resolve, document, track, and update tickets submitted by users/customers;
Evaluate products for potential use on the program such as Oracle HCM modules, low-code solutions, or other applicable tools;
Perform data collection/analysis, report results, and formulate recommendations;
Analyze process improvement areas/recommend changes to processes/procedures for efficiencies/cost-savings.

Education and Experience:
BS degree and 4-8 years relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree, or Master's with 2-6 years relevant experience.
MUST BE US CITIZEN.
Active Public Trust Clearance required.

Basic Qualifications:
Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite)
Knowledge of database and development tools (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports).
SQL skills.
Intermediate UNIX skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong teamwork, problem solving and customer interaction skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Process oriented.
