Job Description:
  • Primary job duties include, but are not limited to: • To assist and support the development and execution of the Defense Advanced Tradecraft Course (DATC) and the Source Operations Course (SOC). At a minimum, this will include developing, updating, and maintaining lesson plans, training materials, tests, student handouts, and critical task lists; developing schedules and test training support packages; and recommending POI improvements based on approved Government doctrine and TTP. The contractor shall provide instruction based on the most current iteration of training, which is subject to change based upon input from real world events and our executor's approval. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and updating of courseware for their assigned instructional discipline, practical exercise, demonstration, or Field Training Exercise (FTX), as needed to ensure accuracy and relevancy of course material. • Assist in evaluation, counseling, and remedial training of SOC and DATC students. Analyze student performance in the course and recommend individualized training for improving student performance. • Assist in management and administrative support of practical exercises, demonstrations, and FTX. • Assist in the development and execution of realistic training scenarios and exercises that support modules of the course. Design scenarios, roles, and exercises to adhere to government approved formats to maximize student participation and to directly link to course material. • Adhere to realistic government approved roles, and remain in role throughout the designated exercise IAW with course SOP. • Evaluate student performance during platform, FTX, and Final Evaluation training events IAW government approved critical task list, POI, and relevant Organizational SOPs (OSOP), policies, and guidelines. • Deliver the government approved SOC and DATC POI (platform, operations training base/operations management team, practical exercise, field exercise, and evaluation phases) to the students as prescribed by the government and IAW HT-JCOE Instructor OSOP and course SOPs. • Assess performance of the students using government approved evaluation forms, matrixes, and rubrics and provide constructive feedback to improve performance. • Physically capable of sustained walking without a break for a minimum of five miles over uneven ground.     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires BA degree and 4 + years of related experience or enough years of experience in lieu of degree. • Secret security clearance. • Graduate of Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) & Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC), or an equivalent Service School in which an Instructor Certification or SGITC Certification is awarded, is desired. • No more than 57% of the total MSO instructors are MSO Category II; 43% are MSO Category I Certified. • Valid civilian driver's license. • Must be a graduate of at least one of the following: SOC, OTC, ASOTC, DATC, MAGTF-CI/HUMINT, or an equivalent legacy course. • 50% of new contractor hires must be a graduate of SOC after October 2015 or OTC, ASOTC, DATC, MAGTF-CI/HUMINT, or an equivalent legacy course. • 1 year cumulative MSO CAT II operational experience.
