Job Description:

Leidos's Military & Veterans Health Group currently has an opening for a Functional Test Lead to work in our Vienna, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Department of Defense (DoD) Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM®) Program. In this role, you will lead a team of testing contractor personnel in support of the DoD military health system MHS GENESIS. MHS GENESIS provides both Cerner Millennium clinical software and Henry Schein Dentrix Enterprise dental software solutions at military treatment facilities.

The ideal candidate for this role will use their previous experience in analyzing system requirements or feature acceptance criteria, as well as standard test deliverables such as test plans, test reports, and test evidence files. The candidate is able to recapitulate status from the six or more team members and update the schedule, as well as coodinate with two other team leads. This candidate must be dynamic, personable, and be able to effortlessly lead a diverse team of manual testers that work both locally and remotely. The functional test lead will also help organize and status the work activities of an four member automation team. Working with the government testers and the customer on a weekly basis is expected. Limited ability to work remote; the bulk of the opportunity is in-office.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day tasks of the Sustainment testing team members to remain on schedule.

Make work assignments as necessary to support that schedule.

Provide status to T&E Manager.

Create and/or review the Contract Delivery Requirements List (CDRL) documents for delivery.

Manage the test repository work items and test artifacts.

Analyze change requests and release notes for functional testing impacts.

Inspire the test team members to achieve goals and schedules.

Ensure the release management team and other interfacing internal Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) knows the functional team status and readiness to proceed with change requests.

Basic Qualifications

Public Trust or be able to obtain Public Trust

Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5 years test lead experience; 8-10 years testing experience OR additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Strong understanding of testing methodology

Strong word and spreadsheet experience

Preferred Qualifications

MicroFocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or IBM Jazz test repository tool experience or both

Clinical testing background and/or direct or related clinical experience

Agile working environment experience
