Job Description:

The Accounting Lead provides accounting, financial management, fiscal and related support services.

The Accounting Lead is responsible for daily processing of invoices and travel vouchers, issuing travel orders, issuing electronic checks/drafts, account reconciliation, invoice, discrepancy resolution, aircraft cost accounting, budgetary projections, and data entry

The Accounting Lead will maintain compliance with 5 CFR 1315 Prompt Pay Act ensuring subcontractors are paid within the requirements set forth therein. The Accounting Lead will provide accurate accounting of funding provided. Budget monitoring and oversight will be provided to maintain reliability of funds, obligations, expenditures, and projections for the requirements under this contract. Budget planning will be re-evaluated annually 90 days prior to each option year to assess forecasted needs during the next option years.

The Accounting Lead will use the Government Furnished MRO as the primary source to track expenditures, estimate aircraft maintenance costs, and provide budgetary projections.

The Accounting Lead will provide a weekly accounting of funding availability. The Accounting Lead will track costs associated with a variety of funding sources, special operations, and individual aircraft.

The Accounting Lead will bill the Government separately by funding source for the expenditures attributed to each. The Accounting Lead will provide complete copies of payment documentation attached to invoices submitted six (6) months after the end of each Option Year for any prior year.

Basic Qualifications

The Accounting Technician - LEAD shall have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience working full time or equivalent part time with accounts payable.

The Lead shall have demonstrated twelve (12) semester hours in Accounting with a general knowledge of data entry and word processing equipment; excellent communication and organizational skills; and a working knowledge of accounting principles with an emphasis in cost accounting.

This position is a full time responsibility and must be located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.
