The ESA IV program is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others.

Leidos has opportunities for an individual to serve in a senior role on the customer's eDiscovery program at a customer site in Downtown Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an attorney with past experience performing and managing eDiscovery requests. Experience with common eDiscovery tools, such as Clearwell and Relativity, is critical. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for using customer resources to gather data necessary for government investigations, litigation's, or Freedom of Information Act requests. The ability to review information to determine if it is subject to attorney-client privilege or any other privacy-related restriction is a requirement of this position.

As the individual selected for this position will manage on the order of a dozen cases a month, being organized and results driven are both very important in ensuring the success of this position. This individual will have to create the appropriate case files within the customer's environment, manage access to these cases, ingest and analyze data, and generate reports to government leadership. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the cases being handled, a keen understanding of the laws surrounding eDiscovery is essential.

Being able to quickly and effectively translate customer requests into queries which can be processed by the toolset is another key responsibility of this position. Often this individual will be required to provide direct support to customer attorneys - helping them to use the eDiscovery toolsets to their advantage. Keeping documentation - both products of eDiscovery and processes/procedures associated with the eDiscovery itself - up to date and accurate are essential.

The individual selected for this position must undergo a government security investigation and receive a Public Trust approval from the Department of Justice prior to beginning work.

Basic Requirements:
  • Legal Degree
  • 8 or more years of experience on major litigation support projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, processes, and procedures

  • Past experience with the Department of Justice
  • Active Public Trust access with the Department of Justice
