Leidos has an opening for a Database Developer to support the Air Quality Program at Eglin Air Force Base. The Database Developer should be a pro-active and innovative professional who is proficient in Microsoft Access database development, including the creation of tables and custom queries, emissions calculations, inventory management and regulatory reporting and recordkeeping. This position is anticipated to be part-time, 20-30 hours week. The work will be performed onsite at Eglin AFB, and requires robust coordination and communication with the government Air Program Manager, the Air Quality Compliance Assistance Team contractor, multiple data stewards and the Leidos Air Permitting engineer.
This position is responsible for executing the monthly capture, QA and upload of usage data for nearly 2,000 air emission sources at Eglin AFB from multiple data stewards and organizations. Data is collected and submitted
in multiple formats, including an export from an Oracle db (with web-based data entry front ends), spreadsheets and word files. The individual in this position obtains data from the multiple data sources on a monthly basis, uploads into it into a custom database to perform QA, validation and consolidation via approximately 30 existing custom queries. Resulting consumption data is then transferred to APIMS (a web-based Air Force data system) and emissions calculations are performed. Results are then exported to the custom database for QA and validation. At any point in the process, this position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise regarding missing data or data quality, including air emission inventory of pieces of equipment and data received from EESOH-MIS. This position uses the finalized monthly data uploads and calculations to create and execute custom queries in support of required annual data reporting for the Eglin AFB Air Program and ad hoc data requests.
