Job Description:

The Government Health and Safety Solutions Group is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for an enterprise grants management system and supports over 500,000 users worldwide on a 24x7x365 basis. The candidate will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of eRA AWS infrastructure.


• Work closely with architects to develop, plan and implement AWS migration

• Configure and fine‐tune AWS infrastructure systems

• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in AWS infrastructure operations via automation scripting and working

with API's

• Support AWS EC2 management, including baseline, security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting

• Develop and implement AWS patching strategy based on industry best practices

• Implement AWS monitoring

• Provide system administration, engineering, and management support services



• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

• 8 years of relevant IT experience

• 4+ years of AWS infrastructure configuration management experience

• Experience with AWS migration

• Solid knowledge of AWS architecture and services

• Experience with AWS patching and remediation

• Experience with automation using Ansible, Python or similar dynamic languages

• Linux system administration, engineering, and management experience

• Strong communications skills

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate



• Knowledge and understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a plus

• Experience in Federal Grants Management is a plus

Relevant AWS certification preferred

CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
