Leidos is currently seeking a motivated PC12 Lead A&P Mechanic to work on the CLS-A program in Afghanistan. The CLS-A program currently supports Special Mission Wing (SMW) operations. The ideal candidate will work and travel in between customer sites as needed. Customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan.
-Reports directly to the PC-12 Maintenance Manager
-Lead a maintenance crew to complete unscheduled/ scheduled PC-12 maintenance.
-Monitor flight line launch and recovery activities.
-Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. Repair and replace aircraft components.
-Use technical manuals, technical data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair of malfunctioning or damaged components.
Four (4) years of direct experience in aircraft maintenance
Civilian or military technical school degree.
Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License.
Active NACI clearance
Must be able to perform the full range of airframe and engine maintenance, repair, modifications, inspections and servicing of aircraft in accordance with approved methods, techniques and practices and certify accomplished work. This entails the ability to:
• troubleshoot engines and systems
• use the federal supply system
• read and understand technical manuals and schematics
• read and interpret all instruments
• use special test equipment and tools
• research the technical library
• perform full system checkouts on all aircraft systems
• perform mechanic test flight duties
• perform complete servicing of aircraft
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Must be able to pass/qualify all CENTCOM CRC medical and training requirements
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date.
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
