It's a great time to join the Defense team at Leidos! Currently we are seeking to fill several Aerostat Field Service Representative's positions located in Afghanistan, to provide Operational and Sustainment support to Aerostats.
-Provide expert system and/or Aerostat component knowledge.
-Lead inflation/deflation of aerostats, aerostat tether termination, supervise aerostat launch, recovery and flight of the aerostat and its related systems.
-Provide Aerostat operations and troubleshooting: flight, weather, pressurization, rigging, helium loading, repair and record keeping.
-Provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of electronic equipment to include one or more of the following: Video distribution systems, navigation systems, avionics systems, radio communications equipment, RF telemetry systems and payload communications, fiber optic transmission systems (analysis, splicing, termination, testing), electrical and serial data cable terminations.
-A Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
-24 months hands-on aerostat operational and maintenance (O&M) experience.
-Proficiency in the following areas of aerostat operations and troubleshooting: flight, weather, pressurization, rigging, helium loading
-Experience with leading inflation/deflation of aerostats, aerostat tether termination, supervising aerostat launch, recovery and flight of the aerostat and its related systems.
-Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
-Ability to operate and interpret test measurement and diagnostics equipment (TMDE).
-Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
-Must have experience deploying, knowledge of C2, information gathering, operations, and troubleshooting.
-An active, and current DoD Secret clearance required.
-There are 6 months left on the contract; must be able to work the 6 month duration, 7 days a week, 12 hrs. per day.
-Ability to pass a pre-deployment physical exam and dental exam.
-Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
-A valid U.S. passport, not to expire prior to July, 2019
-Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards
-Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards
Operational & Maintenance experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).
Operational & Maintenance experience with EO/IR gimbaled camera systems.
