Job Description:

Leidos has an immediate opening for a Communications Systems Specialist (3D1X3) at Cannon AFB, NM. Candidates must currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered. The Communications Specialist will provide management, oversight, and continuity of unit's Silent Dagger and Mobile Satellite System Support. Perform functions as Equipment Custodians for squadron SDN, SDN-Lite and associated Mobile Satellite systems. Provide training to unit members for SDN, SDN-Lite and associated Mobile Satellite systems. Perform troubleshooting for SDN, SDN-Lite and associated Mobile Satellite systems with affected supporting agencies. Ensure SDN laptops updates are current and functional. Download data from SDN, SDN-Lite or other mobile satellite systems and transfer to associated systems to ensure currency of affected equipment. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the commander for RF Transmission Systems. Act as communications liaison between the squadron/DET/FTU and ISRG/host CS/HQ on for RF Transmission Systems. Build relationships with network owners/admins to garner greater capability/insight on networks. Act as communications liaison to the squadron and the network users for changes to Operations/policy/capabilities of the related networks. Work with network/system owners to provide design inputs/implement a solution that meets the customer's needs and system limitations/security concerns (physical and logical). Perform ITEC responsibilities for assets assigned for SDN, SDN-Lite and mobile satellite systems. Integrate with squadron security manager to ensure TEMPEST guidelines are in compliance for SCIF for RF Transmission System assets. Attain and maintain DTA capabilities support RF Transmission System updates. Manage squadron Spectrum Management program IAW AFI 17-220. Complete training and perform update and validation of MSC assigned MICT checklists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must possess a TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Applicant is subject to and must successfully pass an AFOSI Polygraph for access to classified systems
  • High School Diploma with 10+ years, Associate with 8+ years or Bachelor's degree with 6+ year of related experience; or three years Silent Dagger Network experience
