Job Description:

The Logistics & Mission Support (L&MS) Organization at Leidos is currently seeking Supply Technician II (STII) for the ASP/SA program in Qatar.

Primary Responsibilities:

Upon assumption of this position, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor will administer a Job and Performance expectations counseling which will serve as the foundation for duties performed while in this position. Duties will be aligned to the mission of Class V Operations, including but not limited to; inspection of storage buildings, outdoor storage sites, and field storage sites to ensure compliance with all storage standards; sort, segregate, observe, clean, maintain, inspect, and investigate ammunition and components to determine their current condition and serviceability.

Performs a variety of Class V warehousing duties, receipt, issues, shipments, turn-ins, rewarehouse and inter-depot transfers. Verifies materials against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage. Routes material to prescribed storage locations. Stocks, stacks and palletizes munitions. Prepares and uses magazine data cards. Prepares lite boxes. Rearranges and inventories stored munitions. Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage. Removes munitions from storage and issues munitions upon receipt of proper documentation. Reports any unauthorized access to restricted areas. Ensures operational areas are free of debris and rubbish.

Support all assigned QASAS personnel. Assists in the performance of the following duties: inspect storage buildings, outdoor storage sites, and field storage sites to ensure compliance with all storage standards; sort, segregate, observe, clean, inspect, and investigate ammunition and components to determine their current condition and service ability.

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of proper correspondence, records, and reports to cover all surveillance activities.

Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments of ammunition for proper blocking, bracing, and loading; and maintain files and indexes for all drawings and specifications covering ammunition and methods of packing and storing.

Unload, unpalletize, unpack, and lay out munitions for inspection, repack, repalletize, stencil, and apply applicable markings as required and transport ammunition to and from storage sites as applicable. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of proper correspondence, records, and reports to cover all surveillance activities.

Handle residue and packaging material. Ensures safe handling procedures and explosive safety requirements are followed for the receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of ammunition residue and packaging materials. Responsible for munitions inspections and 100 percent accountability. Ensures residue and excess packaging materials are properly stored, inventoried, inspected, secured, properly documented and reported. Ensures the unit residue turn-in team strictly adheres to applicable Army regulations. Schedules and coordinates with QASAS. Escorts, loads, and unloads trucks. Sorts, segregates, visually inspects and locates items by item, type, caliber, DODIC, lot number and condition codes. Maintain magazine data cards and planographs on location and update as necessary. Reports any safety violations to Area Manager and/or Warehouse Operations Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific responsibilities and duties related to Class V Operations will be formally assigned upon arrival at the assignment location.

Basic Qualification:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Required to have experience in ammunition storage, issue, receipt, preparation, safety and accountability procedures.
  • Ammunition and Explosives Safety experience and AMMO-62 (Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials) is preferable.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a MHE forklift license through training provided.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen.
  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English Language.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Qatari Driver License (KDL).
