Job Description:

The Leidos Intelligence Operation has a career opportunity for an experienced Dataflow Systems Engineer at our Leidos facility in Columbia, MD.

Program Summary
This contract is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large, collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Position Summary
The engineer will be responsible for attending face to face meetings to gather and detail the necessary steps for activating new or transitioning existing data flows, participating in VTCs and TDYs to discuss customers' requirements, performing and documenting the necessary steps to activate new or transition existing data flows, drafting troubleshooting guides for use by other engineers, providing engineering hardware and software engineering support, assisting in drafting technical presentation for internal/external organizations, and performing research to provide recommendations based on customers' requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelors Degree in related Engineering field and 8 or more years' experience
Strong Data flow background
Basic understanding of how data is processed
NiFi experience
Proficient in LINUX
Some Systems Administration background
A minimum of 3 years systems engineering experience with SIGINT systems.
Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years experience in 3 of the following - one of which needs to be Systems Engineering (NOTE: A BS degree in engineering, telecommunications or related field may be substituted for experience in 1 specialization):
Signal Analysis:
Modern Tele-communications System and Networks:
Telephony Switching System:
Communications Systems:
Cellular/Personal Communications Systems:
TDM/PCM Multiplexing / Modulation /Switching Systems
Packet Switching System
Systems Engineering
Operating Systems
Advanced Protocols
Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years development and integration experience in SIGINT systems.
Within last 3 years, a minimum of 2 years experience in at least two (2) of the following:
Switching and Survey:
Circuit Processing
Distribution
Filtering & Selection
Monitoring:
Analytic Tools

Within last 3 years, a minimum of 2 years experience with the functionality and inter-processing of packet- and circuit-based HW & SW solutions.
A minimum of 3 years experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
A minimum of 3 years experience solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NodeJS
Scripting background is desired
Experience with Java, MAVEN, and Ansible is desired
Experience with Agency data formats
Experience designing dataflows/assessing throughput
Experience architecting/designing/supporting an architecture dealing with transportation of many files (and formats) to various destinations.
