Job Description:

The NISC III program at Leidos is seeking a subject matter expert in Security for all international travel security requirements

In this role you will be the point of contact for international travel security requirements for an assigned domestic area of responsibility

Specific duties for the position include:
  • Understand all FAA, DOT, and DOS requirements
  • Respond to inquiries from official and unofficial FAA international travelers
  • Work with other LOBs/SOs in changes or creation of policies, training courses, and/or standard operating procedures
  • Remain up to date on issues and threats concerning an assigned overseas area of responsibility
  • Research, develop, and present pre-departure briefings
  • Monitor various systems and sites for the most-up-date information and requirements
  • Ensure risk matrices are up-to-date and accurate
  • Review eCountry Clearance (eCC) communications
  • Input eCC information into the ITSP spreadsheet or database
  • Communicate with travelers regarding missing requirements or those specific to their destination
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the FAA Technology Loaner program
  • Field inquiries from travelers regarding the Loaner requirement, LOB/SO mobile services coordinator (cellular devices), and MyIT (laptop)
  • Other duties as program grows and requirements expand


Typical education / experience:
  • Typically requires a BA degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.


Preferred qualifications
  • Current Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to work with mobile services coordinators and MyIT to develop a consistent process for requesting Loaners and receiving ASH input
  • Ability to work with mobile services coordinator and MyIT to ensure Loaner devices are properly configured and returned to the queue for later usage
  • Ability to create policy, develop standard operating procedures, attend technical working group conference calls, and implement and utilize T-VIP and HCT
  • Ability to market the ITSP and changes to requirements to official and unofficial FAA international travelers
  • Ability to assist in the creation of security awareness documents, training aides, and other informational products
  • Ability to track the international travel debriefing program
  • Ability to research options for constant communication with official FAA international travelers while abroad
  • Ability to serve as primary POC for the ITSP content of MyFAA
  • Ability to serve as primary POC for 508 compliance of ITSP products


Desired qualifications:
  • World geopolitical and security risk knowledge
  • Ability to research and develop security briefings/presentations for official international travelers
  • Ability to present briefings/presentations confidently at all levels (in-person and virtually)
  • Understanding of U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service, and the U.S. diplomatic mission organizations, roles, and responsibilities
  • Experience with creating, implementing, and interpreting enterprise policies and procedures and training courses
