More About the Role:
Leidos, with Operations in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Software Engineer Integrator Journeyman to begin work on an exciting new contract supporting the General Services Administration (GSA) who will be responsible for supporting software development activities for Transportation Audit Management System (TAMS). The successful candidate will join an established set of skilled data analysts and other users to refine the requirements backlog and execute the development process to build a complex audit management system.

What You'll Get to Do:
-Perform as the software engineer in the development and integration of cross domain and other technologies in a small team environment.
-Perform across the lifecycle from concept development, design, requirements, implementation, integration and deployment by applying diverse skills in software engineering, system engineering & administration, integration, test and system security.
-Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
-Write or review software and system documentation.
-Perform quality control on team products.
-Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
-Analyze requirements to ensure overall testability, develop software design, test plans, and procedures.
-Execute functional, performance, and security tests and support debug of system issues.
-Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current development methods.
-Establish and manage software configuration.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of experience. Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
-Candidate must have or be able to obtain a public trust security clearance for consideration.
-Experience with Tomcat or other app (NodeJ) servers.
-AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer.
-Experience with AWS cluster technology, AWS EC2, AWS RDS MySQL, ASW Auto scaling.
-Must have SOA experience.
-Experience with ETL and possibly DMSII.
-Hands on experience with IDEs like Eclipse.
-Experience working in agile scrum .
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives.
-Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
-Familiarity with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
-Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
-Familiarity with code repository and software deployment tools: GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory.
-Familiarity with 508 scanning tools: JAWS, AMP.
-Familiarity with Junit, FindBug, SonarQube, Fortify, LoadRunner.
-Familiarity with business intelligence: Tableau, Microstrategy.
