Leidos is currently seeking a Quality Control Lead. The Quality Control Lead will work and travel in between customer sites as needed. Customer sites include, but are not limited to, Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. The Quality Control Lead will perform and supervise personnel in technical inspection functions.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides training, development, and resourcing to ensure adequate coverage of the inspection functions with qualified personnel.
Provides OJT/OJM training in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies to host country personnel.
Maintains sufficient staffing at all inspection functions to support production.
Assesses all inspection function areas.
Determines specific safety hazards and implements proper personnel protective equipment requirements for all personnel in the area.
Provides training and monitoring to assure compliance.
Determines specific customer requirements for inspection criteria, cleanliness, packaging, labeling, certification, packing, and shipping as well as any unique requirements.
Develops and maintains Inspection Control Plans, ensuring that key customer requirements are clearly documented and fully met for all final inspection.
Communicates to and trains all affected personnel to ensure understanding and competent execution of all staff in order to meet requirements.
This position is located in Afghanistan on a 90/30 rotation.
Bachelor's degree preferred with 10 years of related experience
A&P Required with 5 Years rotary experience
Active NACI clearance
Very familiar with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and Access
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
MD530 Experience Preferred
Preferred Aviation background experience
Understanding and accepting local languages, customs and traditions (to be able to work with local customs, transport systems and language interpretation)
Ability to work and live in a team environment
Military deployment experience is highly desired and deployment experience to the CENTCOM region is desired
