Job Description:

The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer applications. Provides guidance to Systems Analyst and serves as project manager for small and medium sized projects. Organizes all parties concerned to coordinate systems design and implementation.. Conducts special studies to assess sensibility of projects for automation. This position may require working at either campus.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: General - Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Some positions may require a specialized degree (example: pharmacy, nursing).

Experience: A minimum of four years work experience in programming, HL7, Data base management or clinical job function (depending on specific position).

Knowledge: Training in systems analysis and design techniques, written and oral communications, and special emphasis on user relations.

Skills: Excellent people skills required to effect change across multiple user departments. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with managers, executives and professionals. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized systems and its associated devices.
