Job Description:

Leidos's Military & Veterans Solutions Health Group is currently seeking a full time Research Engineer I to support research at the Navy Medical Research Unit - San Antonio

Primary Responsibilities

a. Provides support in professional biomedical engineering functions involving medical research practices to support the laboratory's efforts.

b. Demonstrates knowledge of biomedical engineering principles, practices, and techniques.

c. Coordinates all design phases with contractor personnel (lab/project managers, other engineers, and technical support personnel).

d. Support the Government in direction of the integration, fabrication, and functional testing of systems after installation to insure that performance meets specifications and customer requirements.

e. Resolves novel systems and design engineering problems which require the development of new techniques or the innovative application of new state-of-the art technology.

Education and experience:

Associate's Degree with five (5) years' experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.

Must have or be able to obtain Secret U.S. Government Clearance to be hired
