Job Description:

The Strategic Planning Office (SPO) has been established as a support office to facilitate the operations, planning, and training mission within the USAMRMC Headquarters. The Agreement's position manages support agreements and international agreements from inception to finalization and lifetime management of all actions under the auspices of these agreements.

Primary Responsibilities

The Management Assistant will support the mission of the SPO by: (1) identifying opportunities to collaborate with external agencies related to the SPO's strategic engagement and partnering mission; (2) developing and writing support agreements to include interagency agreements, intra-agency agreements, memoranda of agreements, and memoranda of understanding (3) providing guidance and policy recommendations concerning support agreements to include interagency agreements, intra-agency agreements, memoranda of agreements, and memoranda of understanding and international agreements under the auspices of USAMRMC; (4) interact with peers and staff at all levels, orally and in written communication to educate them on the agreement process and Livelink Database; (5) developing standard operational procedures to improve methods and systems; (6) evaluating recommended changes in organization, policy, and procedures and advising impacts of the recommendations; (7) Coordinate engagements with partners to include, but not limited to logistics, travel, schedule, and attendance; and (8) recommending and advising on efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and improve quality of support

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in increasingly responsible positions, with at least 1 year of experience in work with responsibilities similar to the Management Assistant. Individuals must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in an extremely fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Individuals must demonstrate ability to summarize complex issues and demonstrate excellent written communications skills, preferably through examples of relevant work products. Individuals must demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact easily and effectively with executives and program managers at all levels as well as staff. Individuals must demonstrate maturity and ability to deal with government representatives with appropriate respect and regard for protocol. Individuals must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Individuals with general knowledge of and experience working within any of the following areas are especially desirable: scientific information exchange programs, military installation and facility master planning, environmental compliance, public affairs, occupational health and safety, science and technology education programs, and policies and practices for work with biological select agents and toxins. Training and/or experience in project management techniques and software is also a plus.
