Job Description:

Leidos is looking for a high performing candidate to fill a position supporting the nation's nuclear deterrence mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs to provide configuration management on a major acquisition program. The scope encompasses providing subject matter expertise and analysis to verify adherence to systems engineering principles and Office of Defense Program policies. The configuration manager's activities provide visibility and control of program performance and the physical and functional attributes of the weapon and informs the federal program manager on decisions that impact achieving the goals set by national security organizations.

This position requires an experienced person with demonstrated configuration management and systems engineering expertise developed
during engagement on large projects with commercial, Federal, and/or defense agencies. This is a full-time contractor-support position
located on-site at the NNSA offices in Albuquerque NM.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, communicate, and direct implementation of a NNSA weapon program office configuration management plan.
Verify program compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and procedures governing configuration management in the NNSA organization.
Implement processes for configuration management day-to-day activities, including version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management.
Monitor NNSA production plant and national laboratory configuration management processes for production realization.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors' of Science degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of direct experience in configuration management for highly complex systems including running configuration control boards and configuration management boards.
Complete familiarity with requirements management and current configuration management systems and tools.
Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with implementation of related activities for a complex system including development techniques, change control processes, government regulations, and other configuration/data management activities.
Demonstrable ability to achieve successful outcomes working across technical teams.
Demonstrable ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
