Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a talented Software Field Engineer to support .NET development activities at various remote sites. This position is located in Newport News, VA; however requires 50% travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and field repair a web application composed of C#.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server 2005/2008 technologies.
• Travel to remote sites to support the above activities.
• Support software development, enhancements, and maintenance efforts.
• Produce software documentation and runs software through unit test procedures.
• Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
• Work with other field software engineers to determine the best solution for integration issues.
• Support the primary software instance at Langley AFB in between site installations and develop new code when required.
• Perform other technical and documentation tasks as required.

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience. 6 additional years of experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• C#, ASP.NET, Ajax, JQuery, Web Services (SOAP/REST), CSS, HTML, and SQL 2005/2008 experience.
• DOD 8570 IAT II Compliance is required upon start date (i.e. Security+)
• Travel: 50%
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance.

• Design, creation, maintenance, and testing of .NET web applications using Entity Framework.
• Source Control, Continuous Integration, Configuration Management.
• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Management.
• Technical Writing experience.
• Knowledge of Capability Maturity Model Integration(CMMI).
• Past Intelligence Systems experience.
• Solid knowledge/experience of the AGILE / Scrum SDLC
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
