Leidos is seeking FIRES Radars Project Lead to provide Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen MD with operations located at both Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and Ft. Sill/Lawton, OK.
Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command, Fires and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide software engineering and technical support to the Family of Tactical and Strategic Mission Command systems to include: FBCB2, JCR, JBC-P, FSS, Common Software, BCCS, TSI, GCCS-A, TS3, TDI, CPI2, DCO, TDM, COE v3, CPCE, Command Web, DDS, CPOF, GCCS-A; SICPS and MIP/ACIS as well as the US Army's FIRES Family of Systems including: AFATDS, JADOCS, FOS, FF-Q37, FF-Q36, Centaur LWTFDS, PVM, MMS-P, PFED, LCMR Q50, AN/TQP-53 and LCMR Q49.
Additional support functions may include various aspects of Systems Engineering, Software Development, Information/Software Assurance, Requirements Analysis, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Property Management, and Lab Support.
As a key member of the FIRES PDSS/PPSS Support Organization located at Lawton/Ft Sill OK, the FIRES Radars Project Lead will work closely with the FIRES Deputy PM, the FIRES Chief Engineer, the FIRES Safety Supervisor and the respective Radars PPSS/PDSS Support Teams in addressing, planning and executing all aspects of all assigned FIRES Radars PDSS/PPSS support efforts.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
Minimum of 5 Years' relevant radars experience is required.
Must be able to provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Must be able to participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems. Must be able to solve engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned.
Must be able to interact with users to translate their requirements into system, hardware, and software requirements and design. Must be able to solve engineering problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
Must be able to understand the technical requirements for software support and be able to develop and maintain realistic work plans, schedules, and controls to establish effective software support of both fielded software and support software of computer based systems. Must have technical expertise to review and evaluate the technical work performed by subordinates. The FIRES Radars Project Lead must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism.
Advance degree desirable.
PMP certification a plus.
