Senior Engineering Manager -Atlanta GA

Currently, we have an opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager for electric transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure projects in Atlanta, AL. He/she will work in a team atmosphere and will be responsible for: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Act as lead engineer on projects Substation/P&C design projects
• Prepare equipment specifications, analyzes bids, and makes recommendations for purchase
• Apply standards including the NESC, IEEE, IEC, and is familiar with design guides such as the RUS Bulletin 1742E-200
• Familiar with state and federal safety, regulatory compliance requirements, and construction codes
• Prepare project analysis, budgets, schedules, and plans
• Prepares construction and procurement document
• Manage various sized projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities located primarily in the Southeastern United States.
• Project management duties include ensuring that all assigned projects are accomplished within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Interface and communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
• Participate in proposal development efforts including scope, schedule and budget development.
• Leverage existing contacts to enhance and increase business development
• Write comprehensive and technical and project reports
• Coach, mentor, train and instruct others

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 15-20 years' of relevant Project Management experience or a Masters with 13-16 years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineering Registration in Georgia
• Recent and in-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure projects
• Success with a team approach to the consulting business
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• In-depth electric power/utility industry experience
• Knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
• Periodic travel is required.
