Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud DevOps Software Developer.
This position is in support of the Air Force Personnel Operation Activity contract (AFPOA) at Randolph AFB, in San Antonio, Texas, transferring all the systems from a large physical data center into a cloud (AWS) environment.
The Software Development candidate shall analyze complex applications with databases, including web applications and user interfaces, refactor the design, build applications, test, deploy, and cut-over and maintain the applications for AFPOA A1 Virtual Data Center.
The candidate will assess and monitor and automate security controls on systems within the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Commercial and GovCloud environments.
Analyzes complex applications with databases, including web applications and user interfaces, refactor the design, build applications, test, deploy, and cut-over and maintain the application.
Develops technical program documentation such as end-user operational instructions, software descriptions, interface documents, and data migration documents.
Consults with stakeholders/ users to develop formal user requirements and translate those into application/database design, write interfaces to external applications or databases, conduct unit/functional testing, monitor UAT testing, and transition the applications/databases to production.
Work closely with IA to determine security requirements, PII, accreditations and/or other concerns.
Analysis and computational skills; ability to create original concepts/theories.
Ability to develop, test, implement and maintain complex applications and databases.
Ability to work as part of a small team and communicate technical details a manner that non-technical customer staff will understand concepts and objectives.
Bachelor's Degree and 8-12 years relevant experience, or additional experience in lieue of Bachelor's or 6-10 years with Master's Degree.
Active Secret Clearance is required.
Must be US Citizen.
Experience with proven design principles and Open Source technologies.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with Chef server deployment and programming.
Must have Security + (DoD 8570 series IAT Level II Certification) before hiring.
Knowledge of lifecycle process for software development, web applications, and system implementation.
Agile development using SAFe/ SCRUM framework.
RESTful APIs using JSON or other API scripting for automation.
Virtual containerized portable environment technologies such as Docker; PKI and PKI/RSA tools including OpenSSL.
