The Cyber & SIGINT Solutions (CSS) group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to work in our Columbia, MD office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help this mission.

The successful candidate will use their experience to help this program achieve critical mission success by supporting a quick reaction capability production environment as a Manufacturing Assembly Inspector.

The candidate will be responsible for:

-Assessing the adequacy of a proposed design as compared to specifications and functional requirements.

-Managing production assembly, fabrication of materials, test operations including set-up calibration and operation of machines used in the production process, and manufacturing engineering.

-Duties may include ensuring that high-quality manufacturing production operations happens on schedule and within the cost objective.

-Reviewing electro-mechanical drawings and manuals for completeness and accuracy.

-Communicate with internal and external contacts on issues to obtain or provide information on matters of significant importance to the position

-Supporting design reviews and recommending design changes; direct and perform inspections of incoming materials (including hardware, software and documentation) during processing, after assembly operations, before and after tests and prior to delivery and acceptance.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the following requirements:

-The candidate should have a HS Degree and Six (6) years of experience checking mechanical and electrical drawings, in addition to experience applying quality and reliability standards, and Five (5) years of experience in the electronics and mechanical quality assurance field.

-The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

IPC, MIL-STD, ANSI, NASA, SMT, polymerics, cable crimp and solder, PWB, PWA inspection, mechanical engineering, reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and 2D/3D drawings, use of calipers, Verners, mechanical standards, inspection scopes, etc.
