Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Junior Electrician to work at our Integration and Logistics Center in Chesapeake, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Surface Sonar mission. In this mission, Leidos provides engineering and technical support for the United States Navy's Undersea Warfare (USW) System.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard equipment
  • Install generator, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit system, or other transmission equipment
  • Use installation drawings and schematics
  • Perform modifications internally to equipment units in the performance of engineering changes
  • Use meters to measure and document electrical test results

Basic Qualifications

High school/vocational school diploma and one year electrical experience

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a passport

Preferred Qualifications

Shipboard electrical experience

Electrical experience in bench repairs

Copper, data, fiber termination

Power modifications

Cableway qualifications
