Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Operations Analyst to work at our Integration and Logistics Center in Chesapeake, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Surface Sonar mission. In this mission, Leidos provides engineering and technical support for the United States Navy's Undersea Warfare (USW) System.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze data to determine most effective use of resources
  • Analyze program schedules, requirements, resources, and strategy to facilitate organizational forecasting
  • Analyze design data to ensure conformance to requirements
  • Participate in design reviews and recommend design improvements
  • Analyze operational performance data to determine design defects detracting from the equipment or system's capability to meet operational requirements
  • Review and comment on technical specifications, proposed engineering changes, waivers, deviations, and alterations for their impact on performance, reliability, maintainability, availability, quality, safety, and life-cycle cost
  • Make recommendations of corrections and improvements for generation of detailed engineering changes
  • Design, obtain, produce, assemble, deliver, stage, and ship material required for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Changes (ECs), and ORDALTs
  • Provide on-site engineering investigations to evaluate reliability maintainability, performance availability, and logistics support of the system and equipment


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's level degree in and Engineering discipline, Physics, or Mathematics with 7 years' professional experience in operations research

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a passport

Preferred Qualifications

Subject matter expert experience with AN/SQQ-89(V) systems
