Job Summary

Leidos has a career opportunity for an IT Senior Systems Administrator at Cannon AFB NM. The Senior Systems Administrator must be able to work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. Duties may include updating to new systems, as well as support on current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. Apply analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software system functional specifications as well as designing, developing, testing and modifying computer systems and programs based on user or design specifications. Candidate must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance and meet DoD 8570 certification requirements in order to be considered. The Security Plus certification is the minimum certification to be qualified for this position.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior System Administrator is to support daily operations, troubleshooting systems problems with the site team, lead upgrades and installation work. Must support systems across multiple enclaves and multiple levels of classification from Unclassified to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmental Information level. Assist the site to maintain multiple virtual environments that currently operate on Citrix with NetApp storage systems, interconnectivity of servers, computers and phones for multiple enclaves. Manage system back-ups and restore protocol, plan and support computing infrastructure, monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.

General responsibilities include

Technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems..

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 4+ years of related experience (Experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

-Candidate must have experience working with virtual environments

-Excellent communication skills in team environments and superior customer service skills are mandatory

-Must be able to work independently

-Must be able to physically lift 50lbs

-Must have a current Security+ certification required by DoD 8570.

-Must have a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

-Prior military IT experience, experience working with SOCOM or JSOC systems is a plus

-CISSP or CCNA is a also desired .

-Experience with UAV operations centers

-Citrix classes or certifications and familiarity with the mutli-domain Secure View ® system is a plus
