Job Description:

Leidos is seeking Life Cycle-Configuration-Release Manager to provide Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD with operations located at both Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and Lawton/ Ft. Sill, OK.

Successful candidates will support our customer by creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command, Fires and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide software engineering and technical support to the Family of Tactical and Strategic Mission Command systems to include: FBCB2, JCR, JBC-P, FSS, Common Software, BCCS, TSI, GCCS-A, TS3, TDI, CPI2, DCO, TDM, COE v3, CPCE, Command Web, DDS, CPOF, GCCS-A; SICPS and MIP/ACIS as well as the US Army's FIRES Family of Systems including: AFATDS, JADOCS, FOS, FF-Q37, FF-Q36, Centaur LWTFDS, PVM, MMS-P, PFED, LCMR Q50, AN/TQP-53 and LCMR Q49.

Additional support functions may include various aspects of Systems Engineering, Software Development, Information/Software Assurance, Requirements Analysis, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Property Management, and Lab Support.

As a key member of the Program Management Team, the Life Cycle-Configuration-Release Manager will work closely with the Enterprise Chief Engineer and the respective C2 and FIRES project leads in addressing, planning and executing all aspects of all assigned software Configuration Management and Software Version Release efforts.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree with substantial software or computer related course work is required. (Four years additional applicable experience can be substituted for the degree.)

Minimum of 5 Years' experience as a Lifecycle Software Configuration Management Specialist and/or Software Version Release Manager is required.

Must be able to write/review Configuration Management (CM) Plans and audit software change procedures, software development, software testing, and software documentation to verify compliance with software CM plans and procedures.

Must be capable of participating in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system. Must be capable of conducting code management, audits, baseline identification, and preparation and control of documentation for software projects.

Must be able to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of Configuration Management and Software Version Release personnel involved in providing life cycle software engineering support of military computer software systems. Must be experienced and trained in state-of-the-art software Configuration Management and Software Version Control techniques.

Must be able to understand the technical requirements for software support and be able to develop and maintain realistic work plans, schedules, and controls to establish effective software support of both fielded software and support software of computer based systems. Must have technical expertise to review and evaluate the technical work performed by subordinates. The Life Cycle-Configuration-Release Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred degrees include: Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline.
Advance degree desirable.
PMP certification a plus.
