Job Description:

Leidos Defense Group is seeking an HBSS Engineer/Specialist to support the DoD's JRSS (Joint Regional Security Stack) deployment activities, a multi-year, global effort to improve the DoD's security posture and provide enhanced security capabilities and analytics by centralizing and virtualizing network security into regional stacks rather than locally distributed appliances.

This position is located in Springfield, VA and will require an ACTIVE Secret Clearance to qualify, with eligibility to obtain up to Top Secret as required by the program.

In this role, you will act as the senior support person and liaison for the JRSS HBSS implementation. In this capacity you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that supports the JRSS network operational tools, active and passive Computer Network Defense (CND) tools and virtualized infrastructure deployed in each JRSS stack. You will also integrate with other technical teams, with DISA personnel, with vendor technical support personnel, and with technical representatives from DoD services.

The successful candidate will responsible for the following tasks:
  • Administer McAfee ePO as well as all McAfee products via ePO.
  • Manage and maintain the tuning of HIPS alerts, Firewall, and VSE on all managed endpoints.
  • Manage Windows and Red Hat for Enterprise Linux systems via the ePO server.
  • Provide McAfee product support and troubleshooting across environment systems.
  • Provide support to System Administrators for various server platforms managed by the ePO.

Required Qualifications:
  • Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Must hold current DoD 8570 IAT2 certification or higher - Security+ CE or CISSP
  • You must hold an ACTIVE DoD Secret Clearance is required to work on this program. In addition, you must be able to successfully obtain up to Top Secret based on requirements from the customer and program.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:
  • Mid to Senior level experience McAfee Administration (4+ years of experience)
  • Must have completed McAfee training of DoD HBSS Administrator courses 201 and 301
  • Must possess strong knowledge of DoD STIGs.
  • Must possess good written and oral communications skills and be able to appropriately present highly technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must have completed McAfee training of DoD HBSS Administrator courses 201 and 301
  • Possess knowledge of DoD STIGs, ACAS and Active Directory Group Policy Management
  • Possess knowledge of Windows and Red Hat for Enterprise Linux Servers types
  • Possess prior experience as a network intrusion analyst or Security Operations Center analyst.
  • Proven experience configuring and maintaining the tool in a multi-tenant environment
  • Proven experience with one or more of the other CND tools in the JRSS cyber suite:

- Fidelis DLP and MDE
- SourceFire
- ArcSight
- Gigamon
- Opswat
- Inquest
- Argus/Bro
- ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
