Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer to work in either King of Prussia, PA or Shalimar, FL. The selected candidate will perform wind tunnel testing for hypersonic aerodynamics, aerothermodynamics, evaluation of thermal protection systems, and thermal response. Activities will include wind tunnel test planning, model procurement, instrumentation design, test conduct, test analysis, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform tunnel test planning, model procurement, instrumentation design, test conduct, test analysis, and reporting. Interact with engineers from the prime contractor and subcontractors, and government wind tunnel test personnel, and program management personnel.

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Master's degree and  6 years' experience or a Ph.D. degree and  2 years' experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or similar engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with high temperature materials and thermal response instrumentation. Knowledge of optical flowfield diagnostic test approaches. Experience with arc jet testing is a plus. Experience with government Test Readiness Reviews.
