The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services, & Support (SENS3) for the continued operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). This requirement was previously called Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS).
Leidos is in need of a Senior Citrix Engineer, to lead the design and migration from Citrix XenApp 6.5 and 7.x Servers to a Citrix XenDesktop 7.x buildout of the initial infrastructure. The candidate will contribute to the functional testing, QA and failover testing of the new platform.
The candidate will need to be able to migrate from XenApp 6.5 on Server 2008 R2 to XenDesktop 7.x on Server 2016. Work with application engineers to provide Citrix Published desktops and VDI baseline builds.
Support escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 Operational staff to troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents and/or service requests. Performs system maintenance (e.g., patching), and periodic Citrix updates as needed.
Provide knowledge on optimizations and best practices for peak performance.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members. Support for the client NetScaler Infrastructure, including vendor interaction and maintenance/upgrades as required.
Creates, updates and maintains SOPs, A&A, system design/architecture documents, system build guides, technical drawings and schematics, training material, and test plans.
Six years supporting Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and a Citrix CCP-Virtualization certification.
Active Top-Secret Clearance is required
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 8 years of equivalent experience/combined education, with 4 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
