The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a BE350 Pilot in Command (PIC). The PIC will support contracted CONUS/OCONUS flight operations and must meet our high standards of aviator skill, safety, professionalism, and customer focus. PIC's shall ensure safe, effective and efficient flight operations to include identification of aircraft maintenance faults and corrective actions. All safety of flight documentation shall be completed and documented in accordance with applicable industry and US Army standards. PIC's are responsible for pre-flight planning, aircraft pre-flight check, coordinating with Airborne Sensor Operators (ASO) who operate the on-board sensor systems and are responsible for mission execution and operations. PIC's will deploy special emphasize on crew member's safety and government relations and will monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, and other air traffic / aircraft systems. PIC's will coordinate all flights with appropriate ITC's, military range control, Air Traffic Control facilities (military and civilian), Primary Mission Equipment Operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services. PIC's will operate military turbo-prop aircraft in accordance with AR 95-20 regulations, program policies and procedures. All Pilots will fly day and night, under VMC/IMC and are required to maintain night currency and instrument proficiency. Opportunities for promotion may be required as a Standards Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, Instructor Pilot, or Aviation Safety Pilot.

Requires a BA/BS degree and 8+ of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Flight Hour Requirements
1,000 hours PIC total time
PIC time for other aircraft must include 300 hours in similar aircraft type
Must be qualified in, mission, type, design, and if appropriate series of aircraft

FAA Requirements
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Must hold at least at least an FAA Commercial Airplane and Airplane Airman Certificate.
Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane Airman Certificate
Must possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate

General Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess a current passport
Must possess a valid state driver's license
Must read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to meet all CRC deployment and medical requirements.
Must possess an active DOD security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher

Preferred Qualifications
B-300/350 type rating
1,500 hours of PIC time
300 hours of Multiengine
200 hours Turbine time
200 hours of Instrument (actual) time
Rating held for the last two (2) consecutive years
Proline 21 experience
Former U.S. Military, Customs, DEA Pilot or US Contracting ISR Pilot
Active DOD security clearance at the TOP SECRET/SCI level, or higher
U.S. Military Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot
Prior OCONUS rotation experience, particularly in current area of operation
