The Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) program at Leidos is looking to add a senior level C++ developer to develop real time applications controlling instrumentation at DoD test ranges. This will enable test reuse for multiple branches of the United States military, ensuring faster, less expensive development for a safer tomorrow. This position is located in Alexandria, VA and you must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance to be considered for this position.
Create tools that work to reduce human error and improve testing with a team that is 20 people strong. For example, you might develop a range instrumentation assignment tool that work with the middleware and automate the configuration of range test assets. To develop these kinds of tools, you will do the following on a regular basis:
Design, develop, test and deploy soft real time programs to monitor and control instrumentation used at DoD test and training ranges
Code and debug C++ applications
Write and present requirements, design and user support documentation
Test software according to test plans for functionality and usability
Work with end users to collect feedback on existing tools and share that feedback with the team
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and 8+ years' experience in C++ development of multi-threaded distributed applications. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Experience with Python
Experience writing Qt for development of GUIs
