Job Description:

The Civil Group at Leidos has an opening for a Senior level System Integration Engineer to be located in Washington DC.

Join the NISC III team to assist the Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Services Group AJW-23 to support the Mobile Assets Management Team and ensure Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) compliance with Federal, State, and FAA laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the design, engineering and installation of navigation related equipment for the FAA.

The System Integration Engineer acts as an individual contributor and team member by performing professional engineering work involving electronic circuits, circuit elements, equipment, systems and associated phenomena concerned with electromagnetic or acoustical wave energy or electrical information for purposes such as communication, computation, sensing, control, measurement and navigation.

Work includes but is not limited to:
  • Conducting technical surveys.
  • Developing installation packages,
  • Determining project scope and cost estimates.
  • Perform installation work as needed.
  • Conduct site surveys for facilities and systems as well as develop and coordinate project scope, cost estimates, facility mitigation and project schedules, resource requirements and project closeout for assigned projects.
  • Perform construction and/or installation activities including daily operations, overall schedule reviews, drawing approvals, project coordination, safety and environmental requirements, and interfacing with logistics on contract award/modification and material acquisition.
  • Responsible for developing engineering designs and site adaptation of standard engineering designs.
  • Conduct site surveys for facilities and systems, as well as, developing and coordinating project scope, cost estimates, facility mitigation, project schedules, resource requirements, and project closeout for assigned projects.
  • Performs the full range of construction and/or installation activities including daily operations, schedule reviews, drawing approvals, project coordination, safety and environmental requirements, and interfacing with Logistics as required.


Basic Qualifications
  • 15+ years relevant exempt experience with a relevant Bachelors' Degree or 13+ years relevant experience with a relevant Masters' Degree.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of and experience with design, engineering and installation of navigation related equipment.
  • Ability to obtain a Publc Trust clearance.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in providing support to the FAA is strongly desired.
