Leidos is currently seeking a Training Manager to be located in Afghanistan. The Training Manager is responsible for planning, developing and delivering training for MD-530 aircraft technical programs to the AAF.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing training requirements and developing programs to address them
Coordinating with third party training providers
Developing lesson plans and training materials and managing delivery of internal and externally-provided training
Establishing and maintaining program for conducting mentorship of AAF personnel across all aspects of unit aircraft maintenance operations
Closely coordinates training tasks with maintenance personnel to coincide with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations
Directs and/or administers tests or knowledge assessments to ensure student understanding of training content and application of knowledge, provide train-the-trainer programs and qualify trainers for content delivery
Provides contract required reports depicting AAF training status to customer
Develops reports and charts which track AAF training status, depict trends, and aid in forecasting student progress
Responsible for all internal and external training requirements of the MD-530 program
This position is located in Afghanistan on a 90/30 rotation.
Bachelor's degree required
8 Years total experience in Business Management with experience in Logistics
FAA A&P or military equivalent required
Candidate should have the ability to coordinate and communicate with US, NATO, and Afghan Air Force personnel
Candidate must have an active NACI clearance
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date.
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
Preferred MD-530 Aviation background experience
Experience in supervising training in an FMS environment as a manager and/or instructor
Experience with both flight, ground, simulator training plus maintenance training
Military deployment experience is highly desired and deployment experience to the CENTCOM region is desired
Master's Degree preferred
Army Instructor Training Course-TAITC Preferred or FAA equivalent
Understanding and accepting local languages, customs and traditions (to be able to work with local customs, transport systems and language interpretation)
Ability to work and live in a team environment
