Leidos is currently seeking PC-12 Instructor Pilot applications from experienced, former US military instructor pilots to establish, execute Foreign Military Sales flight training program. The PC-12 Instructor Pilot will work on the CLS-A program in Afghanistan. The CLS-A program currently supports Special Mission Wing (SMW) operations. The ideal candidate will work and travel in between customer sites as needed; customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. The PC-12 Instructor Pilot is responsible to the Flight Operations Support Manager. They will be working with the Flight Operations Support Manager, producing products and processes which support overall PC-12 program and training objectives: safety, standardization, and student management. They will maintain currency in technical developments, technical training, quality assurance, project management policies and regulatory compliance. Military-style flight training is the focal point of this program, thus military flight training and command experience is highly desired. The PC-12 Instructor Pilot shall be responsible for the execution of all flight training activities in the Pilatus PC-12NG.
Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Maintain qualification, currency and proficiency in the Pilatus PC-12NG.
Responsible to comply with applicable service guidance, regulations, training manuals and other associated authoritative documents.
Responsible for the advising/mentoring of host nation military aircrew.
Responsible for the development of curricula, instruction of host nation students in a classroom setting, conduct training flights, determine student proficiency, and report on student progress.
Responsible for training host nation students in subjects such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio operation, aerodynamics and special procedures relating to PC-12 flight operations.
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience
Must have at least 1,500 hours of flight experience in Operational, Support or Ferry Flights and at least 150 hours as a US Military Instructor Pilot in any Fixed Wing aircraft
Qualified candidate should have relevant certification on the PC-12NG (SIMCOM or Flight Safety), possess, at a minimum, a FAA Commercial SEL certificate and a FAA Class II Medical Certificate
Must be a graduate of a US DoD Military Flying Training Program
Prior assignment as a Commander, Operations Officer, or Executive Officer in a US Military fixed-wing flight training organization
Prior PIC experience in Pilatus PC-12 strongly preferred
300 hours of turboprop
Prior experience as a flight instructor to international students
Prior experience in military Casualty Evacuation and Combat Support Services flight operations
US Military Standardization Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Pilot
Prior OCONUS rotation experience as a combat ISR pilot or IP
