Associate Distribution Engineer - Seattle, WA

Currently, we have an opportunity for an Associate Distribution Engineer, who will be part of established Power Delivery team of Distribution Engineers, Distribution Designers, and CAD technicians. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, working directly under the supervision of the project engineer, in the development of various utility distribution design work packages, including:

• Designing of overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects
• Underground cable/conduit distribution projects in urban and rural environments
• Maintaining compliance within client engineering and construction specification
• Identification of conflicting utilities,
• Performing engineering and design calculations and work permit development
• Maintain quality control and safe work practices and while maintaining compliance within the project scope, schedule and budget

• Bachelor's Science Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is required
• 0-2 years of experience with an electric utility and/or electric utility consulting company with design engineering preferred, but training is available
• EIT is preferred
• Experience with design standards is preferred
• Proficiency in Auto-CAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Willingness to perform both field and office work
• Ability to work in outdoor environments
