Duties of the Electronic Records Manager will include but not be limited to assist and collaborate on the following :
Formulates and oversees the implementation of NASA policy and guidance for record-keeping in accordance with the NASA strategic plan; mandates for all electronic and non-electronic records; National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) regulations, standards and guidance; and appropriate national and international professional records/information management standards.
Leads the transformation of agency records management processes to address the challenges posed by electronic records.
Development of full scale inventories of electronic records to establish the status of permanent records.
Responsible to maintain a records management program.
Develop and submit a Records Management Program Plan in accordance with the NASA Records Management Program Plan.
Provide NASA or authorized representatives with access to all Government records.
Manage legacy Federal records (data created for Government use and delivered to or falling under the legal control of the Government) inherited from previous contracts.
Maintains NASA records per NPR 1441.1x, 1441.1E, NRRS 1441.1, including legacy records inherited from previous contracts
Details data management roles/responsibilities, and planning and implementation requirements, both long and short term
Defines and enforces processes for accounting, organizing, locating, protecting, and disposing of records that are new, active, inactive, and whether temporary or permanent
Provides access to authorized NASA authorities to inspect, audit, and copy
Leaves NASA records at the Center for which the data were generated; delivers or dispositions as directed by the Center records manager; leaves documentation to support the use of electronic records
Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or equivalent years of experience.
