Job Description:

Leidos is looking for a Talent Journeys Director to lead retention strategy development and execution, fostering enterprise-wide resourcing of employees. This is a strategic advisory position to serve as the lead employee resourcing strategist that will develop and implement resource management plans across the enterprise. The Talent Journeys Director will report directly to the Vice President of Talent Development and Inclusion and have primary responsibility for advising the enterprise on leading edge resource management techniques and movements that position Leidos to retain and surge the workforce to meet business and customers' needs. The Talent Journeys Director will implement measures to compile and analyze enterprise program information and attrition trends to create solutions to assist in internal mobility.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and establish a strategic approach to leverage career growth and development within the organization
  • Apply consultative expertise to engage employees and provide suggestions based on their goals, interests, and experience to better position them for their next opportunity
  • Educate employees on opportunities to leverage skills and experience to move internally
  • Design and implement campaigns that focus on key occupations and critical skills
  • Manage new internal staffing and mobility process for continuous improvement, partnering with HR Business Partners and Line Management for execution
  • Monitor attrition trends, developing strategies to assist in enterprise wide solutions, targeting the retention of employees in critical roles.
  • Leverage HR Information System (HRIS) analytics to identify employees ready to move internally and provide comprehensive reporting on internal placement metrics
  • Collaborate closely with talent acquisition to identify opportunities, match talent to opportunities, provide prioritized match summaries to hiring managers and recruiters via HRIS
  • Administer and maintain organization-wide Resource Management tool and serve as department subject matter expert to assist members in completing profiles, in partnership with a global team responsible for the Resource Management tool

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience with internal staffing or deployment, talent acquisition, or talent development
  • 1-3 years career coaching experience, preferably in the public sector, with a federal consulting/contractor organization
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems, such as Workday
  • Experience with designing and implementing internal career mobility and retention best practices
  • Experience with pro-actively engaging internal mobility candidates and advocating for appropriate matching opportunities on behalf of candidates preferred
  • Ability to assess internal candidates, present them for deployment and placement, and identify and drive implementation of new or best practice deployment initiatives
  • Enterprise thinking with strong business acumen; and an ability to understand the big picture and to incorporate it into analysis and interpretation
  • Experience in project management and / or control, business management and resourcing programs
  • Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and translate trends and metrics into tangible outcomes
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
