The Defense Group at Leidos has a career opportunity for a Data Center Engineer/Architect to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Alexandria, VA.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support the design and engineering of solutions for Data Centers as a Service (DCaaS).
Provide technical support to the government for the design and engineering of DCaaS solutions that are scalable, cost-efficient and reliable while providing improved security.
Support development of an enterprise-level DCaaS architecture description, operational concepts, and recommendations for technical solutions for various components of the DCaaS to include hosting environments, data center infrastructure and facilities, networks, servers, storage and DCaaS Service Delivery.
Provide support to the government for oversight of the implementation of DCaaS as an enterprise solution that can be used across DoD.
Bachelor's degree and 12-15 years relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree, or Master's and 10-13 years relevant experience.
TS/SCI active Secret Clearance.
Must be US Citizen.
IT Architecture or engineering knowledge and experience.
Data Center, Service and Cloud knowledge and experience.
Familiarity with DoD operations and processes.
Good writing and briefing skills.
