Job Description:

Leidos' Sensors and Phenomenology Operation has a vacancy for a Radar Exploitation Scientist to join our team in Beavercreek, OH, or Ann Arbor MI.

The Radar Exploitation Scientist will support and conduct research and development in sensor and sensor exploitation technology and support implementation of solutions in software, utilizing the latest data exploitation techniques. The position will require research and development of new capabilities as well as making improvements to existing Leidos exploitation capabilities and systems. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to quickly develop an understanding of legacy efforts and support the design and engineering of improvements to meet new requirements.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
- Master's degree Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (with strong math and physics emphasis) and 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (with strong math and physics emphasis) with at least 10 years work experience.
- The ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance.

- Experience in Radar image formation techniques
- Experience in Radar data feature extraction, target detection/recognition and false alarm reduction techniques
- Experience in Radar image and signal exploitation, with solid theoretical foundation in detection and estimation
- Familiarity with MATLAB and associated signal processing toolkits
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to effectively interface with and brief technical solutions to customers and large groups

- Existing Secret or higher security clearance.
- Experience programming in the C/C++ environment
- Experience with target tracking techniques using radar data
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques
- Familiarity with embedded processing (e.g. CPU/GPU implementations)
- Experience processing radar data
- Experience simulating radar signature data
