Job Description:

Leidos currently has an opening for a Junior Software Engineer in our Orlando, Florida location. This is an opportunity to work as part of our Software Innovation Center on a variety of challenging projects across Leidos. The successful candidate will determine, design, and develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering problems with assistance from Senior staff.

Primary Responsibilities

Work in a fast paced software development environment to meet schedule milestones within an Agile development environment. Participate in the full software development lifecycle. Designing and implementing situational awareness tools. Writing software code across an open service architecture. Working with the Systems Engineers to assure the software is meeting the requirements. Assists in developing test routines and data. Tests all codes personally produced, and assists in the testing of the total program, documenting, in standardized terminology, all procedures used.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a scientific or technical disciple and 2+ years of experience. Work experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a Scrum team.

Knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of Software Engineering field working under limited supervision.
