Job Description:

Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Engineer in our Orlando, Florida location. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Software Innovation Center on a variety of challenging projects across Leidos. The successful candidate will independently determine, design, and develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work in a fast paced software development environment to meet schedule milestones within an Agile development environment. Participate in the full software development lifecycle. Design, develop, and debug software source code. Assists in developing test routines and data. Tests all codes personally produced, and assists in the testing of the total program, documenting, in standardized terminology, all procedures used. Research and integrate new technologies into our development and production systems. Provides theoretical analysis, where required, to assist in solving problems efficiently. Serve as technical lead for small projects and mentor other engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a scientific or technical disciple and 4+ years of relative experience. Work experience can be used in lieu of degree.

Strong proficiency using at least one high-level programming language (Java, C++, etc.). Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies. Familiarity with basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, JSON, and JavaScript. Demonstrable problem solving skills. Must have or have ability to obtain Secret clearance.
