Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineering Intern at our Orlando, FL office.

Seeking a candidate to work with our software innovation teams as we develop and produce cutting-edge solutions to challenging development problems. As an intern, you will work with experienced engineers in a hands-on environment which offers the opportunity to work on real-world problems. You will apply what you have already learned while gaining additional skills and knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities

-Assist in programming on software development projects
-Participate in the full software development lifecycle

-Support Software Engineers in designing and implementing situational awareness tools

-Assists in developing test routines and data.

-Maintain accurate and complete project documentation

Basic Qualifications .

-Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable with an average 3.0 GPA.

-Understanding of C#, C++, Javascript, Typescript, or Java.

-Prior experience using Git, SVN, or Mercurial.

-Able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance- U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

-Personal projects in Unity using C#, particularly for VR or AR platforms.
-A proven background in linear algebra with a focus on graphics programming.
-Experience with machine learning or computer vision, especially using Tensorflow.
-Prior experience with virtualization using AWS automation, Foreman, or Puppet.
-Fluency with less common programing languages such as Scala or Rust.
-Familiarity with network protocols, routing and subnet masking.
