Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of operational software and tactical hardware subject matter experts in the development of AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 source data to be utilized for life-cycle documentation development in support of US Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Additionally, candidate will be embedded in both the Leidos team and prime contractors team; serving as the single point for performance execution and improvement. This position will report to the OEM site in Manassas, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • The selected candidate will oversee a team of SMEs and developers supporting US Navy and FMS products for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 system
  • Provide subject matter expertise to analyze and evaluate Undersea Warfare (USW) system lifecycle methodology, supportability techniques and advances, and product improvement to help ensure their effectiveness and efficiency
  • The Engineering Manager is responsible for tasking, budget and schedule of all task elements
  • The Engineering Manager will be required to develop and implement policies and procedures that will standardize our technical support
  • The Engineering Manager will be responsible for identifying areas to improve products released to the fleet and champion an environment of continuous improvement along a defined technology road map

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 11+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have prior experience leading a life-cycle product development team
  • Experience with NAVSEA programs and their lifecycle support
  • Prior experience with developing products for DoD programs
  • Excellent written communication and grammatical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 or APB Operations
  • Experience using SharePoint and MS Project
  • Travel may be required for this position
