Job Description:

The Leidos Aviation Lab Engineering team has an opening for a student intern to help support air traffic control program labs in Gaithersburg, MD.

As a member of fast paced system support team this position supports FAA program software development, integration and test labs.

The position requires demonstrated technical capability working with operating systems, virtualization, networks and storage.

Should be comfortable executing a variety of concurrent hardware and software assignments.

Perform effective problem resolution. Plan and complete tasks within cost/schedule requirements.

Review, interpret and prepare engineering documentation.

Candidate must have excellent oral and written skills and be able to work well in a team.

Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.

Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program in a relevant discipline.

Perform system administration tasks related to maintaining software development and test labs.

Monitor and update systems.

Troubleshoot to resolution hardware and software problems.

Working knowledge of Linux, networks and virtualization.

Comfortable working with a variety of computer hardware.

Shell scripting, PERL, LDAP, Cloud, JIRA.

RedHat, NetApp and VMware experience
