Job Description:

Leidos is seeking to hire an Engineering Intern at our San Diego office. The goal of this internship is to analyze oceanographic and maritime data for quality control, noise filtering, and statistical characterization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop scripts and software tools to collect, organize, analyze, and export oceanographic and maritime data and descriptive metadata.

Data analysis for quality control, noise filtering, and statistical characterization.

Work with experienced scientists to develop algorithms for data analysis and signal characterization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate major or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

Skills in scientific data analysis, algorithm development, and software implementation

Fluency in Python and Matlab

US Citizenship required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with cloud computing tools such as Docker and Kafka.
