The Electronic Warfare Division of Leidos presently has an opening for a RF Engineer to work with our team on Eglin AFB, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career electrical engineer to help develop the next generation of RF seekers for high speed weapons systems. Join a small highly focused team working hand in hand with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) as they seek to advance the state of the art in Multi-Input-Multi-Output RF front ends to enable the next generation of munitions. Expand your skills and knowledge base while working technologies which enable seekers to survive and function in the demanding operational environment of high speed weapons. Use your knowledge and experience to design, assemble, and test multifunction, software defined radar front ends.
As a RF Engineer with Leidos, you will be embedded with a joint AFRL and contractor team working on designing and testing the next generation of RF weapons seekers and multifunction electronic payloads. You will be tasked with the design and specification of RF front ends that exceed the present state of the art. You will have the opportunity assemble these front ends and develop the software to make functional components. Finally you will be able to test your designs in relevant environments using a number of Government owned test facilities. Make the next breakthrough.
Applicants must be a US Citizen and hold a SECRET clearance (or be able to obtain one in 6 months).
Candidate must be able to work on Eglin AFB in a laboratory environment.
Applicants must have a BS in Electrical Engineering or other closely related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience in RF design or test OR a MS in Electrical Engineering with 2-6 years of experience.
The candidate must be able to function independently with little supervision.
The ability to function on a multidisciplinary team is a must.
Experience in simulation environments such as MATLAB, and with test and evaluation environments such as LabView.
Preferred candidates will have recent and relevant experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of RF seekers.
Experience with the HFSS modeling and simulation environment is desired.
