Leidos Life Sciences supports biomedical research and development management efforts for both our military and our government civilian clients, including the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, National Institute of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Department of Homeland Security, and others. Our work in this focus area includes providing scientific/technical analyses of efforts including individual research programs. We also provide program management and regulatory / quality assurance support for the development of medical drugs and biologics through our virtual pharma practice. Leidos Life Sciences seeks interns to provide ongoing project support; tracking the status of action items, program milestones and monthly reports; and administrative support.
pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major in the Life Sciences and basic understanding of the scientific process. Additional required skills include Microsoft Office Suite, especially experience with Excel and/ or other database programs. Individuals must demonstrate ability to summarize complex scientific issues and demonstrate excellent written communications skills, preferably through examples of relevant work products. Individuals must demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact easily and effectively with executives and program managers at all levels as well as staff. US citizenship is required.
Desired qualifications include strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment as well as experience in project coordination with knowledge of the life science program cycle.
